Tim
Williams
Chief Executive Officer
In
1990, Tim founded CrosStor
Software, and served as its
Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer. CrosStor was a pioneer
in enterprise-class
purpose-built NAS operating
systems and SAN/NAS convergence,
with over 24 OEM customer
including EMC, IBM, and HP.
CrosStor was sold to EMC in
November 2000. After the
acquisition, Tim served for a
time as EMC's VP of storage
operating systems for their
mid-range division.
Tim is also an active angel
investor. In 2001, Tim led a
group of angel investors to
restart
Tacit
Networks (sold to
Packeteer
in 2006). He refocused their
technology, reinvented their
business model, attracted new
institutional investors, rebuilt
the management team and served
as Interim CEO until a permanent
CEO was found.
Prior to founding CrosStor,
Tim served as a consultant for a
variety of computer and
telecommunications companies. He
participated in the development
of the UNIX operating system at
Bell Laboratories, and has held
a number of key engineering
positions at high-growth and
startup computer companies. Tim
has a Masters of Computer
Science from New York
University's Courant Institute.
Gordon
Harris
CTO and VP of Product
Development
Gordon is the CTO and VP of
Product Development of Index
Engines as well as the
co-founder. Gordon is
responsible for the overall
architecture of Index Engine’s
product line. In addition,
Gordon is an active advisor to
other pre-IPO storage centric
high-tech companies and served
as Chairman of
Tacit
Network’s Advisory
Board until it was sold to
Packeteer
in 2006.
Gordon previously worked as the
Vice President of NAS Advanced
Development at
EMC
where he oversaw next generation
new product development,
business development activities,
and cross functional special
projects for the storage leader.
Gordon co-founded CrosStor
Software in 1990, where he
served as Vice President of R&D
and CTO. Gordon was responsible
for the architecture of
CrosStor's storage operating
system, high-performance file
system, volume managers, and
stackable storage
infrastructure. CrosStor was
sold to EMC in 2000. Prior to
founding CrosStor, Gordon was
with Bell Laboratories in the
Unix System development
laboratory where he was a key
contributor to the development
of System V Release 4. Gordon
has a Masters of Computer
Science from New York
University's Courant Institute
and an undergraduate degree in
Computer Science from Stony
Brook University.
Jim McGann
Vice President of Marketing
Jim
serves as Vice President of
Marketing for Index Engines. Jim
has extensive experience with
the sales and marketing of
enterprise software to the
Fortune 2000. He has worked for
leading software firms,
including
Information Builders
and the French based engineering
software provider Dassault
Systemes.
In recent years he has worked
for technology based start-ups
that provided financial services
and information management
solutions. Prior to Index
Engines, Jim was responsible for
the sales and marketing of
Scopeware at Mirror Worlds
Technologies, the knowledge
management software firm founded
by Dr. David Gelernter of Yale
University. Jim graduated from
Villanova University with a
degree in Mechanical
Engineering.
Tony
Fusarelli
Vice President of Sales
Fusarelli is a seasoned
executive with over 25 years of
experience in defining, building
and leading direct sales and
global channel organizations. At
Index Engines he is responsible
for the overall management of
the company's sales organization
and its revenue growth.
Prior to joining Index Engines,
Fusarelli served as vice
president of sales for Tacit
Networks, which was purchased by Packeteer as a result of its
success. Prior to Tacit Networks
Fusarelli was VP of Sales at
Lumeta Corporation where he was
responsible for tripling the
company’s revenue in less than
two years. Fusarelli has also
held executive sales positions
at Visara International, General
Signal Networks and INRANGE
Technologies. At INRANGE he
developed a worldwide product
and channel sales strategy and
grew the company’s international
revenue stream by more than
200%. Tony Fusarelli holds a
Bachelor of Science degree from
Waynesburg College in
Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
Neil
Colstad
Vice President of Channels
Neil
Colstad is a seasoned executive
with over 16 years of experience
in defining, building and
leading sales and business
development organizations.
Throughout his career, he has
provided expertise and
leadership in direct and
indirect sales, business
development, go to market
planning and operations, with a
focus on enterprise storage
related technologies. Neil has
proven success in both small and
large scale environments in
positioning new technology for
broad base market acceptance.
Neil
is responsible for worldwide
management of sales channels and
service partners at Index
Engines. Recently, Colstad
served as vice president of
business development and North
American sales for
Archivas,
a software based archiving
software vendor. While at
Archivas,
Neil built and led the initial
sales and system engineering
team, secured the first $1M in
revenue via direct sales, as
well as a multi-year global OEM
deal. Prior to
Archivas,
Colstad has held sales
management positions with
EMC
Corporation, and was co-founder
and vice president of sales for
RemoteWorks. Neil received a BA
degree from The University of
New Hampshire.
Ed Moke
Vice President Product
Operations
Ed
serves as Vice President of
Product Operations for Index
Engines. His responsibilities
include SQA, technical support
and training functions for the
company. Ed has extensive
experience in QA, product
deployment and customer support.
His background also includes the
development and implementation
of process and quality
improvement initiatives in
several large and small
technology companies.
Prior
to joining Index Engines, Ed was
the director of SQA and
technical support at CMWare,
which develops mobile
applications for cellular
operators. He also worked with a
Defense Contractor at Ft.
Monmouth, developing and
deploying 802.11 wireless
solutions for the Army.
Subsequently, Ed spent 23 years
with ATT/Lucent Technologies,
where his tenure spanned SQA for
Lucent's VoIP/Remote Access
Gateway organization and the
management of several SQA and
technical support organizations
focused on developing and
deploying network infrastructure
and voice switching systems to
the network provider and
enterprise markets.
Ed
earned his Bachelor's of Science
in Electrical Engineering from
Rutgers College of Engineering
and his Master’s of Science in
Software Engineering from
Monmouth University.
James
Devine
Corporate
Controller
Jim serves as Corporate Controller for
Index Engines. His
responsibilities include
managing the company’s financial
reporting, internal financial
controls, cash flow processes
and contractual reviews.
Prior
to joining Index Engines, Jim
held management positions at
leading, international,
financial firms including
Deloitte and Touche, Merrill
Lynch and ADP. Jim is a
Certified Public Accountant
(CPA) and holds a Bachelor’s of
Science in Accounting from
Rutgers University. He is a
member of the New Jersey Society
of Certified Public Accountants
(NJSCPA) and the American
Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA)
