The noninvasive NDMP method pushes simultaneous streams of data to the Index Engine platform for indexing, at speeds up to 1 TB per hour. Data is not copied - it is scanned and indexed from the NDMP stream. The resulting index is generated with a footprint that is only 4 to 8% of the original files. This allows the optimized processing of large data repositories for improved access, discovery and collection of network content.
