HOLMDEL, NJ — July 7, 2009 — Index Engines, providers of the fastest enterprise discovery technology on the market, today announced support for California’s new law, Chapter 5, Statutes of 2009, which requires responsible parties to produce data stored in disaster recovery systems when it is relevant to litigation.  Governor Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 5 (AB 5) into law on June 29, 2009, and changed the way any enterprise doing business in California will think about eDiscovery going forward. Index Engines technology, allows the fast, easy, and thorough search and collection of data contained on backup tapes, the most common format of disaster recovery data. With Index Engines, the costly restoration of disaster recovery data is no longer necessary to comply with California’s new eDiscovery law.
