HOLMDEL, NJ — October 31, 2011 — Index Engines In honor of Halloween, launches a new program today which offers review of up to 40“mystery” backup tapes for $50 per tape (plus S&H) through November 30th. Most corporations have mystery tapes - old backup tapes lying around on shelves and in offsite storage - contents of which are unknown but could come back to haunt them. Index Engines’ “Look and Learn” cloud service delivers detailed knowledge of user files and email on legacy tapes without the need to create the original backup environment. With Look and Learn, tape formats such as LTO/DLT/AIT/etc. backed up using NetBackup, Commvault, Backup Exec and more can be indexed, searched and reviewed to reveal tape contents.
