The Index Engines SDK allows developers to quickly build information discovery, classification and management solutions that leverage our comprehensive storage indexing platform. The Index Engines platform indexes unstructured data and email across the enterprise, from offline tape to LAN and SAN. The resulting index provides developers with full content and metadata of all important enterprise information assets - scalable to  billions of documents.

The SDK includes API’s to provide access to the query engine to enable the development of applications to process the data based on specific keywords or metadata. Additionally the SDK provides IP access to populate the platform and generate an index of archived content such as tape image formats or other storage repositories.

An application is only as good as the data that is available to it. Information management applications with only access to metadata, and not the full content, will provide limited results. A records management application that only has access to 5% of enterprise data is restricted in its effectiveness. With the Index Engines SDK organizations can easily program applications to sort all the data to their specific requirements.
